Canterbury City Council working with Kent Police have introduced a Public Space Protection Order which covers a large swathe of the coast covering Whitstable and Herne Bay. This follows on from increased reporting of anti-social behaviour along the coast during the busy summer months. The order is attached for your awareness.
Kent police will be increasing its visible patrolling in this area over the summer in order to reduce anti social behaviour and provide a safe and fun experience for the public. We recognise that anti social behaviour is normally committed by the minority and we would urge you to continue to report such matters to us so that we can deal with them.
