A resident has just picked up six lots of dog poo from the left-hand and bottom areas of the Tyler Hill Memorial Playing field (this was not foxes poo and one had been trodden on).
Dogs should not be unattended off-lead in the playing field (sign on village card park clearly states this).
Please be mindful of the fact that children play in this area and dog poo is associated with various diseases including ‘toxocara canis’.Also residents wish to enjoy the area and do not wish and should not have to clear up other people’s dog mess.
Dog fouling is not only illegal but there are also CCTV cameras around the village hall, so culprits will be reported. The penalty for not clearing up dog fouling can be up to £1,000 if taken to court, but there is also provision for a fixed penalty scheme with a fine of £50 in England.
There is a poo bin provided on the field -please use it or take your bags home and be respectful of everyone else.
