Good Afternoon
This is a short message out of courtesy to introduce myself and PC LARKIN as your new Beat Officers as of this week.
Parish Council Meetings and Community Engagements were previously dealt with Police Community Support Officers within Kent Police. As a result of the recent restructuring of Neighbourhood Policing within the organisation, each Ward has been allocated a Beat Officer who will be responsible for problem solving issues within that Ward. At this time, the model has only just been launched and is not fully staffed. As such officers have been allocated multiple Wards so will no be exclusively in one area until numbers are increased but will be endeavouring to engage with residents to identify issues that matter to them and getting to know our areas as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, if you or your residents have issues they wish to raise these can be e-mailed to us. I would suggest these are copied to both of us as, at times, we will be working different shifts. (Anything of an urgent nature should continue to be called in using the 101/999 systems and will be brought to our attention). We will be looking at arranging a Community Engagement Event in the Ward soon which will be advertised locally.
We look forward to meeting as many people as possible to gain a broad knowledge of the issues within your Ward.
