HPC has been contacted by Renewable Connections, a renewable energy developer regarding plans to build a new Solar Energy farm at Britton Court Farm and Amery Court Farm, with the possibility of powering up to 15,000 homes on a site of about 56 hectares. To date, Renewable Connections have received positive pre-application advice from Canterbury City Council and have also commenced early engagement with statutory consultees including KCC Highways team, KCC Public Right of Way officer and Kent Wildlife Trust.
HPC councillors will attend the consultation 8th October at St Stephens Community Centre (CT2 7BN) and the public are invited to attend the same day between 3-7pm.
